Abstract

ABSTRACT Job satisfaction rate of Rumah Sakit Mata Undaan Surabaya (RSMU)’s employees increasedfrom 76,92% to 78,92% in 2012-2013. Unfortunately, in 2014 this rate decreased to 74,91%. The target set by management is 80%. Therefore, job satisfaction rate of RSMU’s employees has not reached the target. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of leadership, employee involvement, and continuous improvement principle implementationtowards the job satisfaction of RSMU’s employees. This study used observational method with cross sectional design. The data was obtained through questionnaire with simple random sampling involving 90 employees as the sample of the research. The next step is analyzing the data analytically by using logistic regression test univariate (α=0,05) to examine the influence of leadership, employee involvement, and continuous improvement principle implementation towards the employee’s job satisfaction. The test result indicates that there are influences of two principles implementation towards the employee’s job satisfaction. Those principles, on the one hand, are leadership (sig=0,002) and continuous improvement (sig=0,006). On the other hand, the implementation of employee involvement does not affect the job satisfaction. Keywords :Employee job satisfaction, leadership, employee involvement, continuous improvement

This study showed that a total of 81.4% health centers assess that maternal referral system in Surabaya District was quite effective. While, one of the hospital assessed quite effective, and the other assessed less effective. The reason was because public health centers difficulty to contacting hospitals about referral, hospitals often rejected referral case, pregnant women often do self-referral to hospital, and incompatibility referral reason by most of public health centers. Abstract

ABSTRACTDuring 2013 until 2014, pharmacy outpatient services had not reached indicator of the standard minimum service. The average time of respons time was over the standard minimum service. It caused complain from patient, in 2014 the highest complain was 83% about time services. The objective of this research was to find better model queueing system to decrease the waiting time. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with cross sectional design and observational method. The sample calculated by proportional random sampling formula, with 74 prescription and collected by accidental random sampling in peak time. Primary data was obtained by observation and secondary data was collected from documentations in pharmacy outpatients service. The highest service time occured in drugs preparation process with 3.71 minutes and the highest waiting time occured in last checking drugs process. The highest utilization rate occurred in drugs preparation process with 256% and after simulation became 73% with increased service rate in 81%. The lowest utilization rate occurred in giving drugs process was 19%. The conclusion from this study was the drugs preparation process had high workload and caused queueing. A suggestion from this research was to add workload for giving drugs process to help drugs preparation process. Keywords: outpatient pharmacy, queueing system, simulation
